Hello, I'm Sollisnexus

I'm gonna be helping out with the with permission from yeago.

I'm gonna be updating the card databases and help out the deck builder portion of the site.

If you have an FOW Questions, don't hesitate to ask them. I'm still learning certain formats but I'm a quick learner so I'll be able to answer most questions.

Anyway, I hope you have a great time on the site and I'll see you all around!

This is so nice to see! I have some background experience with web servers but only the basics using IIS7. If I can help with any menial tasks I will but it would be the sort of situation where I edit files and submit changes to somebody smarter than I for review.

Also note that I have no idea how coding really works. Just did basics of command line, IIS, htm, redhat command scripting etc. I'm a student in network security so as you could imagine there's lots of administration basics taught.

kengiczar Thanks

I'm ironically majoring in Computer Networking so I have some knowledge as I type this. However, there's always the kinks in the system that I can't touch. (My card posts not showing up and images aren't showing issues) Still waiting on yeago to help me figure those out.

Sollisnexus we really appreciate your support on the site and as always appreciate Yeago's hard work too!

Just a quick question; do you think we could get forum posts to let us know how many cards are input for recent sets and their progress? For example how much of Frozen Casket is up and/or Vingolf 2? Would be really handy for uploading new decks, particularly around prereleases :)

I can help with this around L2/L3 but things at work are a bit crazy lately!

@ Sollisnexus - I'm not sure if this matters with the Force of Will Battle Simulator approaching but the play-tester's Battlefield "Grid" seems wonky. The cards overlap onto each other. Even the cards that are smaller than others. I am using Firefox on a 1366 x 768 laptop screen so maybe it's different for other people. I would note however that the main tappedout.net playtesting with MTG looks awesome and has space so you can clearly differentiate one thing from the next.

Check out a game of FoW and a game of MTG in the play-testers. You'll notice that the MTG playtester isn't all crowded. Specifically you can stack cards 5 high and they won't be overlapping on the cards to the right of them. We only need stacks of four without horizontal overlap but it would be easier to just use tappedout.net's values.

FoW website source Show

For all of the sections below the pixel count is larger on the main site than on the force-of-will.tappedout.net site. The main site has these div objects set to take up 183.683 x 200 pixels and the force-of-will.tappedout.net site has them set up much much narrower at 110.217 x 200 pixels. I think this is part of what leads to our cards covering each other on the right and left sides even when not stacked.

<div class="battlefield-cell col-lg-2 col-md-2 col-sm-3 col-xs-2 droppable">
                    </div>

Looking at the code even more in depth now... the .cell of the battlefield is different on both sites in terms of pixel count. The one on the main site (which is much more pleasing to the eye) ues different values for wideth= than the FoW site portion.

The MTG portion uses width=16.66666667% and the FoW site's playtester uses width=10% which is making stuff all cramped up.

tappedout.net

.col-md-2 {
    width: 16.66666667%;
}

force-of-will.tappedout.net

.battlefield-cell {
    width: 10%;
}

On the FoW stle sheet we simply have:

html { overflow-y: scroll; }

.battlefield-cell {
	width: 10%;
}

At this point I should bring up that both sites use the same dimensions for the battlefield.well object/space/whatever you call that area.

Could we get the width % changed to match the MTG portion of the site? Or even better have it set so that cards DO start to cover each other up on the right and left when you get to stacks of FIVE.

If you think this worthy of fixing please speak with yeaGO! about it.

@kengiczar

I'll see what I can do, I'll speak with yeago about it and get back to you when I get a response.
